Crumbled Feta

Ingredients

4 inches fresh turmeric root
2-3 inches fresh ginger
2 cloves garlic
1 tsp raw honey
1 tsp coconut oil
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup water

Remember that time in college you had too many shots of bottom shelf tequila and then proceeded to swear off tequila for a few years? Yeah, this is nothing like that. It’s nutrition in a shot glass. Anti-inflammatories, antioxidants, antibacterial. You name it. This has it.

I won’t pretend that it tastes like a fruit smoothie, but it will certainly put some pep in your step! Chase it down with some water, not beer.

Note: Turmeric root isn’t THAT easy to find. I get mine from Whole Foods and have seen it as some farmer’s markets. Substituting 2 tbsp of the powdered version is totally cool.

Ingredients

4 inches fresh turmeric root
2-3 inches fresh ginger

1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup water

Directions

  1. Peel turmeric and ginger using a peeler or scrape it using the edge of a paring knife.
  2. Smash the garlic to remove the peel.
  3. Remove peel from orange.
  4. Add all ingredients to a mason jar or other container you will be storing this in. Fill halfway with apple cider vinegar and remaining with water.
  5. Dump contents of the jar into a blender and blend on high until a creamy consistency is achieved. Take a 1 oz shot every day for optimal health. This stores in the fridge well for a week.
